Beetlejuice - The Musical Wilmington Theatre reviews
Phenomenal tour!
Having seen the Broadway production, I was worried the tour wouldn't live up. The cast quickly alleviated any concerns and actually bested their predecessor! Jokes that were clunky LANDED, every cast member came to play and looked like they were having a blast.
The four main leads were even better than the original cast. Justin Collette as Beetlejuice had ease, charm, irreverence, vulnerability, menace, mania and played all of those levels like a symphony. Isabella Esler as Lydia was astonishing and her vocals were absolutely flawless! While the sets and effects were scaled down for touring purposes--they looked great and worked beautifully. If you love the movie--the musical improves upon it.
It gives the story a purpose and a message: live while you're alive! This musical was just a GREAT TIME OUT! GO!
